As always, the Decorative Antiques & Collectors Sale on the morning of 3rd December boasts a broad and unique range of antique & contemporary ceramics, glass, objet d’art, lighting, collectables and decorative homewares. The 240 lots begin with a strong selection of ceramics including some nice Moorcroft examples, as well as three late 18th/early 19th-century Chinese export hot water plates decorated with pagodas, islands and huts (lot 13). There are some eye-catching limited edition Beatles Yellow Submarine ceramics, designed by Paul Smith and made for Thomas Goode (lots 20-22) and the usual unique array of objects including a religious painted plaster sculpture of Mary with a crown (lot 79).

Four 19th Century Mettlach vases, comprising pair of bulbous vases, stylistically moulded with foliate scrolls, beaded borders with gilt highlights, vase of ovoid form with taper neck, incised decoration of floral springs and flower heads in brown and turquoise on deep blue ground, and flared rim vase, the blue and terracotta ground with pale blue jewelled decoration, all with impressed makers mark beneath, tallest vase H26.5cm.
