Over 120 wide-ranging affordable artworks go up for auction on Saturday 9th April, an exciting collection of 19th century to modern works - including many local scenes (Neil Tyler’s East Coast Trawler in Scarborough Harbour, lot 4016) and some nice portraits. The oil of a reclining nude with a vase of roses (Circle of Roderic OConor, lot 4099) stands out in its statement frame, and Julie Hine’s Summer at Lyme Regis gets us excited for summer (lot 4120).
