W Sargent of Boston (Lincs) - late 18th century oak cased 8-day longcase clock, with a deep swans necked pediment and brass paterie, break arch hood door with a dog tooth moulding above and detached reeded pilasters with brass capitals, trunk with canted corners and recessed pilasters, long trunk door with a pointed top and central lock escutcheon, on a shortened plinth with applied skirting, painted dial with a moon disc to the arch and spandrels with depictions of fruit within gesso borders, Roman numerals with Arabic five minutes and matching steel hands, date aperture and seconds dial, dial pinned via a false plate to a rack striking movement, striking the hours on a cast bell. With pendulum and weights.
