Queen 'The Game' signed vinyl record, signed to the reverse of the mirrored silver sleeve by Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, released by EMI records 1980

Provenance by vendor repute: Queen played at Elland Road in Leeds 29th May 1982; the vendor met the band the day before and had this record signed by the three members, but Brian May had not yet got off the train. The vendor called up the hotel and impersonated the band's then manager, Gerry Stickles, (by putting on an Australian accent!) to ask what time the band were arriving, then waited for them at the hotel.

Further Information & Condition Report

This Queen 'The Game' signed vinyl record features signatures by Freddie Mercury, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon on the mirrored silver sleeve. Released by EMI Records in 1980, this rare piece of music memorabilia holds a unique history.

The provenance of this collectible item is supported by the vendor's account. Queen's performance at Elland Road in Leeds on the 29th of May 1982 marked the occasion when the vendor met the band. The day before the concert, the vendor managed to secure the signatures of the three members on this record. Notably, Brian May was absent at the time, as he had not yet arrived off the train.

In a remarkable turn of events, the vendor's dedication to meeting the band led them to impersonate Queen's then-manager, Gerry Stickles, by adopting an Australian accent over the phone. This ruse enabled them to obtain information about the band's arrival time, allowing them to subsequently intercept Queen at the hotel.
