Join us for this week’s Silver Sale, showcasing the timeless craftsmanship and elegance of silversmithing across the ages. This collection features a variety of stunning pieces, each with its own story of artistry and heritage.

Among the highlights is a 1930s silver bowl by C.J. Vander Ltd, hallmarked London 1938, whose planished finish and graceful circular form epitomize pre-war British silversmithing. Collectors will also delight in a limited edition 1972 F.I.D.E. commemorative silver chess set, created to mark the legendary Spassky–Fischer World Championship Match in Reykjavik. Numbered 38 of 650, the set combines silver, silver-gilt, and perspex with exquisite presentation, accompanied by a detailed book chronicling the match itself.

The sale further includes a striking Edwardian silver desk stand (C.S. Harris & Sons Ltd, London 1909), complete with twin inkwells, chamberstick, and engraved crests – a statement piece of refined utility. Equally impressive is a Victorian silver twin-handled tray by Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1901, richly engraved with floral swags and gadrooned detailing, perfect for display or entertaining. For the miniature collector, a charming Hanau silver settee adds a touch of continental whimsy, intricately embossed with floral and scrollwork motifs.

From grand trays to intricate miniatures, each lot exemplifies the beauty and value of silver craftsmanship. Whether you are a seasoned collector or new to the field, this sale offers a rare opportunity to acquire silver of quality and provenance.
