This month's Persian & Oriental Rugs & Carpets sale brings together an attractive selection of hand-knotted carpets and rugs from across the great weaving centres of Persia and the wider region. The catalogue features a range of traditional designs, colours and weaving styles, offering collectors and interior buyers alike the opportunity to acquire decorative and characterful pieces.
Among the highlights is a striking North West Persian Heriz carpet, notable for its bold stepped central medallion and rich madder red field, a design long admired for its strong geometric character. A finely detailed Tabriz carpet also features prominently, with a salmon-toned field and intricately drawn arabesques and palmettes, reflecting the refined weaving tradition of this historic centre.
