Above, Left to Right: Lot 1180, Lot 1199, Lot 1192 and Lot 1187.
Lot 1180, a mid-19th-century carriage clock by Auguste of Paris, featured an elegant foliate-engraved case with acorn finials and a repeat function, selling for £360. Lot 1199, a George III black japanned chinoiserie longcase clock by William Hayler of Chatham, stood out with its intricate gilt decoration depicting pagodas and floral motifs, achieving £1,000. Equally striking was Lot 1192, a late 19th-century Vienna regulator wall clock, boasting an elaborately carved walnut case with a grotesque pediment and grand sonnerie striking movement, which sold for £500. Meanwhile, Lot 1187, a Winterhalder and Hoffmeier Edwardian oak-cased mantel clock, featuring a break arch pediment, reeded pilasters, and a nine-gong chiming mechanism, also realised £360. These results reflect the strong demand for both decorative and functional timepieces from different eras.
