On Friday 14th March, we held our much-anticipated Spring Art Sale at David Duggleby Auctioneers and Valuers. This exclusive auction featured an exceptional array of fresh-to-market pictures, private lifetime collections, and individual masterpieces across various genres and periods. It also saw exciting bidding wars for some of the lots, adding to the excitement of the sale in the room and online.

The sale was a tremendous success and there were a number of standout lots that caught everyone’s attention. Works by The Staithes Group artists did particularly well with Robert Jobling ‘Girls on the Steps at Cowbar’ fetching a handsome £4,400  and Ernest Higgins Rigg’s ‘Young Boy in a Straw Hat’ seeing a bid of £3,800 being enough to secure the work, almost four times our high end estimate.
