Held on Saturday 21st September, our Country House Sale was one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year at David Duggleby. We are delighted to say it showcased one of our most remarkable and unique collections to date.

The sale featured an eclectic selection of both exquisite and rare treasures. Each piece was handpicked for its unique history and captivating allure, from opulently crafted furniture resonating with the grandeur of bygone eras to ornamental antiques that exemplified the pinnacle of skilled craftsmanship. The event also included a variety of decorative objects, silver, ceramics, glassware and more.

The event proved to be a resounding success, drawing collectors and enthusiasts from around the globe and underscoring the profound appreciation for antique and historical artefacts. The auction delivered remarkable results, with standout pieces such as a Tiffany-style bronze floor lamp selling for an impressive £20,000, well above its estimate. Furniture by Mouseman and Waring & Gillow also performed strongly, while a rare William & Mary escritoire and an 18th-century walnut chest both exceeded expectations.
