Additionally, the sale includes a select number of items from Nidd Hall’s original collection, which were later transferred to Copgrove.

Edwardian Adam Revival green-painted and parcel gilt kidney-shaped dressing table, raised triple mirror back with shaped cresting, leather inset top within a trailing floral painted band and foliate carved edge, fitted with five drawers decorated with urn and floral bouquets, on turned supports painted with acanthus leaves and draped festoons; together with matching stool with cane seat. Estimate £300-500.

Large early 20th century French gilt metal mounted vitrine, serpentine and bombe form, C-scroll pediment decorated with extending flower heads, shaped front enclosed by single glazed door and glazed with shaped glass panes with foliate cast edging, floral pattern silk lined interior fitted with two glass shelves and one lined shelf, hand painted with Vernis Martin design panels depicting garden courting scene and putti, on cabriole supports mounted by shell and C-scroll mounts. Estimate £2,000-3,000.

Late 19th century French gilt wood and gesso enclosed armchair, the cresting carved with floral bouquets over foliate moulding, upholstered in floral pattern fabric with repeating pattern, down-swept arms with scrolled acanthus leaf terminals, on turned and fluted feet carved with foliage. Estimate £300-500.

Harry Hall (British 1815-1882): 'Adventurer' a Dark Bay Racehorse Standing in a Farmyard, oil on canvas signed and dated 1882, 70cm x 90cm. Notes: Adventurer was one of Newminster's sons and a well respected racehorse in the late 19th century; after retirement he became a successful stallion himself. Estimate £1,500-2,500.

Stella Reading - Ostrich egg painted with a view of Copgrove Hall with the stables and grounds and on a plated stand, signed and dated 1985 H16cm overall. Estimate £50-80.

Lot No. 108
Jacqueline Stanhope (Scottish 1963-): 'La Cucaracha' a Bay Racehorse with Copgrove Hall Beyond, oil on canvas signed and dated 2005, 100cm x 136cm. Notes: La Cucaracha was owned by Guy Reed and bred at Copgrove Hall, she was a specialist sprinter trained at Lambourn by Barry Hills. La Cucaracha secured a Group One success in 2005 in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York. Estimate £500-800.

Pair of Elizabeth II silver owl salt and pepper casters with gilded interiors, the naturalistically cast bodies with glass eyes H7.5cm London 2006 Maker Comyns of London. Estimate £700-1,000.

Pair of late 19th century Austrian silver and enamel vases by Hermann Böhm, of baluster form, overall decorated the top depicting musical scenes and oratory with reclining figures in togas, the ovoid bodies painted with Dithyramb scenes portraying Dionysiac worshippers playing the cymbals, pan pipes and lyre, with a dancing Maenad bearing a Thyrsus beside, and surrounding figures consuming wine, the domed pedestal feet depicting the Greek gods observing from the clouds with Putti, and recovering a lost statue from ploughed fields, within foliate silver mounts, marked A for Vienna and maker's mark HB, H21cm (2). Estimate £800-1,200.

Pair of 19th century Sevres pattern porcelain and ormolu six light candelabra, each with branches cast as lilies, carnations etc, the two handled vase shaped base with oval panels painted with cherubs amongst flowers on a bleu de ciel surround and raised on an ormolu foliate stem and circular base with scrolling bracket feet H76cm (2). Estimate £500-1,000.

19th century rosewood tripod table, circular tilt-top with gadroon carved edge, turned column with lobed bands and curled acanthus leaf carved baluster, three out-splayed supports with shell carved knees and scaled ball and claw feet. Estimate £500-800.
