French - late 19th century 8-day patinated and silvered brass cased mantle clock, with a tiered pediment surmounted by a central finial with mounted flambé finials to the corners, silvered two-part dial with Roman numerals, steel hands and a cast bezel flanked by two circular columns with Corinthian capitals, with contrasting applied filigree decoration to the pediment, pillars and front of the case, rectangular stepped plinth with a decorative base on block feet, Japy Freres twin train Parisian movement with square movement plates and rack striking, sounding the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. With pendulum.
